Hi, I’m Jarrod and I currently work as a Penetration Tester at FRSecure, specializing in  web application, mobile application, and wireless penetration test. With over fifteen years of experience in IT, my career started as a developer and system administrator before I made the jump into cybersecurity, where I found my true passion and haven’t looked back since.

In my role, I thrive on tackling complex security challenges and uncovering vulnerabilities that others might overlook. Whether testing web apps, mobile apps, securing wireless networks, or assessing thick-client applications, I’m always looking for new ways to improve security posture and protect valuable assets.

Beyond my professional life, I lead a diverse and active lifestyle:

• Wildlife Advocate: Outside of the digital world, I’m passionate about nature and conservation. I volunteer at a local wildlife center, where I focus on rehabilitating owls and other birds of prey. This hands-on experience has taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of adaptability—values that resonate both in life and cybersecurity.
• Retro Tech Enthusiast: I’m deeply fascinated by vintage tech, particularly retro handheld devices. I enjoy customizing and modding these classic gadgets, bringing them into the modern era while preserving their nostalgic charm.
• Cybersecurity Educator: I believe in giving back to the community by sharing knowledge. As a content creator, I produce blog posts, videos, and workshops to educate others about pentesting and cybersecurity. My goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals while demystifying complex security concepts.
